Questions about the “Dress Code”

by Rachel ~ April 2nd, 2010. .

In the last few days, I’ve been asked a few times about one aspect of the wedding, so I figured this was a good place to address it. A few people have asked me about the “dress code” for our wedding. “Since it’s in a children’s museum, does that mean that it’s casual? Are jeans appropriate? Should we come ready to play in a playground?”

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), it won’t be quite that casual. We chose Marbles because of its bright colors and open atmosphere, and have planned (what we hope to be) a nice event for our wedding. Is it super formal? Certainly not. We definitely don’t expect you to wear tuxedos or anything of the sort (unless you’re Mike - no, you cannot wear your Apple shirt!) However, if you wear jeans, you might feel a little underdressed.

Despite all this, please know that there will be no “dress code police” at the door, and it is more important to Mike and me that our guests are comfortable, so you should wear whatever makes you happiest! However, I just wanted to mention it, since a few people have asked so far.

49 days and counting - woohoo!

What about some tastefully placed pasties?

    You’re welcome in advance.
